The 2005 is a real stunner, as was the 2006. The 2007 however looks like being the best of the three.
This is a deep ruby red wine with granite tinges, and a middleweight nose of spice, dark fruit, rubbed bramble leaf, and earth. On the palate it is medium bodied, very juicy and sappy, with lots of dark crunchy brambly fruit, spice, and a hint of liquorice. The finish is long and dry, again with dark brambly fruit, earth, and a hint of gamey undergrowth. It is good with hams & pork/other white meat dishes, and just as good on its own.
